Cops in York Region seek help solving summer shootings

Police north of the city need your help solving a number of shootings.

Between May 18 and May 19, York Regional Police were called to two separate instances of shots fired on Scandia Ct., near Warden Ave. and Major Mackenzie Dr. E., in Markham.

In both cases, the suspects fled in a grey, white or silver BMW X Series vehicle.

Nobody was injured in the shooting.

On June 17, just before 2 a.m., police were called to a home on Ascot Cr., near Steeles Ave. E. and Birchmount Rd., in Markham, for reports of gunshots.

Several shell casings and a bullet hole in a garage door were found by police, but no injuries were reported.

Police released images of a person they say may have information on the shooting.

At around 2 a.m. on June 21, police were called to reports of gunfire on Risebrough Circuit, just one block west of the previous incident.

Officers also learned of another shooting a short distanced away on Empringham Cr.
