Halton police are investigating following a series of thefts from parked vehicles, sheds and garages in a Burlington neighbourhood on Thursday, May 27.
At around 4:30 a.m., two male suspects approached a residence on Long Drive, entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a wallet from inside, police said.
They also used a garage door opener they found inside the car to open the garage but stole nothing from inside.
Moments later suspects approached a home on nearby Kingsway Drive and entered the garage through an unlocked side door, police said.
The intruders reportedly stole bicycles, tools and golf clubs.
An unlocked shed was entered at another residence on Long Drive and two unlocked cars were entered at a dwelling on nearby Sunset Road.
During the same period additional thefts from parked vehicles and garages were also reported on nearby North Shore Boulevard East, Sunset Road and Allview Avenue.
Halton police said the suspects may have been using a vehicle to get the stolen property out of the area, but no vehicle description is available at this time.
They said it does not appear any attempts were made to enter the homes, beyond the garages.
Police are encouraging residents to implement the following theft prevention tips:
•Ensure garage doors and sheds are locked and secure
•Consider installing exterior cameras or exterior motion detecting lights at your home
•Ensure your unattended vehicle(s) are locked and secure
•Never leave spare keys in your vehicle
