Vehicle Prowler Steals Garage Door Opener
Yelm police were called to Longmire Street for a vehicle prowl incident at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, according to a police report.
A woman reported the incident, according to the report, which stated an unknown suspect entered her 2013 Ford truck sometime between 10 p.m. on June 7 and before 8 a.m. on June 8.
“(The victim) discovered the incident … and found her truck had been riffled through,” the report states. “The only item she noticed that was missing was the garage door opener.”
The woman reported she accidentally left the car door unlocked the night before the incident, so there was no damage to the vehicle itself, according to the report.
“(The woman) is concerned the subject(s) will return and access her residence with the opener,” the report states. “(She) was advised on how to prevent that from occurring.”
Dumpster Diver Trespassed From Burger King
Yelm police trespassed a man from Burger King at around 10:15 a.m. Friday, June 11, according to a police report.
The man was familiar to police and was spotted by officers upon their arrival across the parking lot near King Chronic.
One officer contacted the manager of Burger King, while another confronted the trespassed man.
The manager told police, according to the report, that the man was “causing problems daily by riffling through the trash bins…
